When is the North Yorkshire Water Park open?

The North Yorkshire Water Park is open daily from 8.30am – dusk
Please see below for specific opening times for the AquaPark.

What are the opening times for the AquaPark?

The AquaPark is open 7 days a week over the summer holiday period. Sunday – Wednesday 10am – 6pm. Thursday – Saturday 10am – 8pm.
6th September onwards open Wednesday – Friday 3pm - 6pm. Saturdays and Sundays 10am - 6pm

Is there parking?

Yes - there is parking at the Watersports lake with additional over flow parking if required still within the North Yorkshire Water Park

Is there coach parking?

Yes - there is coach parking available with prior arrangement

Do you have changing and toilet facilities?

Yes- We have changing, showers and toilets, however these are basic facilities so please don't expect too much. We do ensure that all our facilities are kept clean at all times. We have exciting plans for a new development - watch this space!

Do you have disabled toilets?

Yes - disabled toilets are available at the Water Park

Where can I leave my valuables?

We have small personal effect lockers for your use. We advise locking your items in your car then locking the keys in a locker.

Is there somewhere to buy food?

Yes - We have hot and cold drinks and a small café selling sandwiches and cakes. A new café is planned in phase 2 which will serve a wider range of snacks.

Can I bring my own food and picnic?

Yes - we have picnic benches for your use

Are dogs allowed on site?

Yes - North Yorkshire Water Park allow dogs but they must be kept under control and on a lead at all times. Owners must clear up after their dog and use the bins provided.

Are there fish in the lake?

Yes - But don't worry they will keep out of your way!

How old do you need to be to go on the Aqua park?

The minimum age is six years old and minimum height 1.2m. Children aged between 6yrs and 12yrs of age inclusive MUST be accompanied by a responsible adult on the AquaPark at all times. An adult is someone aged 18 years and over. One adult to three children minimum ratio. Children aged 13yrs to 17yrs, inclusive, may enjoy the AquaPark on their own as long as a responsible adult is on site at all times.

Do I need to be able to swim?

Yes- you need to be able to swim 50m in a buoyancy aid and be confident in the water. You will need to swim to get to the AquaPark.

Do children need adult supervision?

Yes - Children need to be accompanied by a responsible adult. One adult to three children minimum ratio. A child is someone who is under the age of 18 years. Children 13 years and over may go on the AquaPark without adult supervision in the water however an adult needs to be on site.

What's the price of a session on the AquaPark?

The price of the AquaPark is £15.00 per person per session which includes wetsuit, helmet and buoyancy aids which must be worn.

How do I book?

Bookings are taken via the website online booking system. If you would like to book a group or a time is unavailable, please call us and we will try to help.

Can I book for more than one session in the day?

Yes - you will need to book online for further sessions if they are available.

Do I need to print out my ticket?

We need to see your ticket either printed out or on the screen of a personal device.

Do I have to pay to watch?

If you are attending with people who are using the AquaPark you can watch and there is no charge for this.

Can I get a refund?

If North Yorkshire Water Park cancel your booking for any reason you will be entitled to a full refund. If you cancel your session more than 48 hours beforehand, we will offer you a credit to book on another date or refund 50% of your booking price. If you cancel your booking within 48 hours of your session there will be no refund.

Do I need to arrive early?

Yes - You need to arrive 45 minutes before your session time to allow time for changing and the safety briefing.

Do I have to wear a wetsuit?

Yes - Westuits are provided free of charge as part of your booking and must be worn for your safety and comfort. If you have your own wetsuit you are welcome to wear it.

Do I have to wear a buoyancy aid and helmet?

Yes. Buoyancy aids and helmets must be worn at all times whilst on the AquaPark and are included in the booking fee.

I wear glasses, can I wear them during the session?

No. You cannot wear spectacles on the Aqua Park. We recommend prescription goggles as a good alternative.

Can I wear shoes?

We do not allow trainers or hard soled footwear. Bare feet are fine on our obstacles or if you like you can bring wetsuit boots.

Must I remove all of my jewellery?

Yes - All jewellery must be removed before entering the AquaPark. This includes removable earrings. If you have recently had a piercing you will need to tape over your piercings.

Can I wear fancy dress?

No - Sorry we do not allow costumes or other items of clothing to be worn on the AquaPark.

Do I have to be physically fit?

The AquaPark can be physically demanding as you will be climbing and pulling yourself out of the water on to the obstacles. If you are generally fit and active you will be fine.

Can I participate if I'm pregnant?

We strongly recommend you do not use the AquaPark if you are pregnant or if there is any possibility that you might be.

What if I have a medical condition?

If you have any medical conditions you should check with your doctor to check that you are fit enough to take part. All medical equipment such as inhalers/insulin etc must be left at the first aid station, by the launch area. If you have already booked but provide a doctor's note explaining you are unable to participate we will refund you for your ticket.

Can we book a group session?

Yes - we take group bookings and parties. You can even book the whole AquaPark for a private session. Please contact us for further information about this.

What happens if I come on my own?

You will be asked to form a group with 2-3 other people where you will be responsible for each other. You are not allowed to navigate the AquaPark on your own.

What if it is raining or bad weather?

If it's raining the session will still take place. Well you get wet anyway! On occasions when there is extreme wind or stormy weather we will pause the sessions and resume. This may delay some sessions. In some cases of extreme weather the AquaPark may be closed and we will offer either a full refund or credit for another date.

Can I use my own waterproof camera on the AquaPark?

Yes - but these items must be secured on your bouyancy aid and NOT helmet mounted or hand held. North Yorkshire Water Park take no responsibilty for your items getting damaged or lost.

Can I leave before the session ends?

Yes - you can leave the AquaPark however this is controlled by our staff to ensure people exit and re-enter the AquaPark safely.

What else can I do at North Yorkshire Water Park?

We also have Stand Up Paddle boarding sessions, team building events, sailing, windsurfing and kayaking. We also have the beautiful fishing lakes for those wanting to spend some quiet time.

Do you cater for children’s parties?

Yes we cater for children’s parties for a minimum of 10 children. We have various options available with both including a free tea party pack which includes – burger/hot dog and chips, a drink and a sweet treat.
- AquaPark only - £15 per person which includes 1 hour session on the AquaPark, wetsuit, helmet and buoyancy aid. Also includes a tea party pack.
- AquaPark and Paddle Boarding – £25 per person which includes 1 hour paddle boarding, 1 hour session on the AquaPark, wetsuit, buoyancy aid, helmet and tea party pack
The 1 adult to 3 children ratio still applies so for 10 - 12 children under 18 you need 4 adults. Please note children aged 6 – 12yrs need to be accompanied on the AquaPark by a responsible adult, ratio 1 adult to 3 children.

Is there a discount for Clubs and Groups?

Yes, for the AquaPark only - £15 per person for the first 25 participants, £12.50 per person over the first 25 participants.

Do you host corporate and team building events?

Yes, we host corporate and team building events. We can compile full or half day packages to suit your requirements. These can include raft building, team games, paddle boarding and a 1 hour session on the AquaPark. Please email info@northyorkshirewaterpark.co.uk or call us on 01723 865052

Do you cater for Stag and Hen Parties?

Yes, we can cater for Stag and Hen Parties. Pricing for groups is a follows:
- 1 hour session on the AquaPark only - £15 per person for the first 25 participants, £12.50 per person over the first 25 participants.
- 1 hour session on the AquaPark and Paddle Boarding - £25 per person for the first 25 participants, £22.50 per person over the first 25 participants.
- Raft building, team games, Stand up paddleboards, and a 1 hour session on the AquaPark - £40 per person for the first 25 participants, £35 per person over the first 25 participants.

Please note we have a strict no alcohol and drugs policy. Anyone found to be under the influence of either alcohol or drugs will not be allowed on any of the water based activities.

Is alcohol and drugs permitted at the Water Park?

No - we have a zero tolerance towards alcohol and drugs and anyone who we believe to be under the influence of either will not be permitted to use any of our water activities, including the Aquapark.
