We accept Caravans, Moterhome and Tents.
Yes, however due to Covid-19, our changing rooms are temporarily closed and we have limited toilet facilities. We ask you to come prepared with weather appropriate clothing, towels and warm clothing to change into after your activity.
We suggest arriving with your swimming costume on underneath your clothes to make changing easier.
Yes - disabled toilets are available at the Water Park.
Yes - there is free parking at the Water Park lake with additional over flow parking if required still within the North Yorkshire Water Park.
Yes - there is coach parking available with prior arrangement.
We have small personal effect lockers for your use. We advise locking your items in your car then locking the keys in a locker.
No - If you are attending with people who are taking part in watersport activities you can watch them with no charge.
Yes- You will be able to purchase Hot and Cold drink and snacks from the reception in the mean time.
Currently our brand new café facility is being built and we hope for this to open in May.
Yes, you may bring a picnic blanket and sit on the grass banks.
No - we have a zero tolerance towards alcohol and drugs and anyone who we believe to be under the influence of either will not be permitted to use any of our water activities.
Yes, we do allow dogs at our Water Park. They must be kept under control and on a lead at all times. Owners must clear up after their dog and use the bins provided.
Leisure and watersports lake
Yes - but don't worry they will keep out of your way!
The lake is between 5 and 10 metres in depth.
The leisure lake is 35 hectares.
The average water temperature varies, however in height of the summer it can reach 23 degrees.
Yes – we have an all-terrain, gravelled 2.5km track that circles the whole Water sports lake and other pathways around the other lakes.
Suitable for walking, running and cycling.
Watersports and restrictions

Stand up paddle boarding – £16 per person, or a session with an instructor £22 per person (minimum 4 people and must be booked 72 hours in advance).
Wake Boarding - £20 for 20 minutes.
Kayaking – Single kayak, £16 per person per hour session and tandem kayak £22 per hour session.
Pedalos - £12 per pedalo per 30 minute session.
Open Water Swimming - £5 per session
Advance booking is essential for all watersports except our Pedalos.
Yes – Stand Up Paddle Boarding and Kayaking are suitable for 5+ years with adult supervision.
Wake Boarding is minimum age of 8 years old.
Pedalos – suitable for any age as long as a buoyancy aid fits safely and securely. Adult supervision is required.
Open water swimming – minimum age 11 years+. Under 18’s must provide a disclaimer form signed by a parent/guardian.
Yes - children need to be accompanied by a responsible adult. One adult to three children minimum ratio. A child is someone who is under the age of 18 years.
Children of primary school age must be accompanied on the activity by an adult.
Children who are of secondary school age must have adult supervision on the bank of the lake.

You must be able to swim at least 50m with a Buoyancy Aid for Kayaking and Stand Up Paddle Boarding.
To take part in open water swimming you must be able to swim 400m minimum.
Wetsuits are optional.
Short wetsuits are included in the activity ticket price. The option to upgrade to a full 5mm wetsuit for just £5 each.
Wetsuits are not compulsory for Open Water Swimming, however we do have short (£3) and long (£5) wetsuits available to hire. Towfloats must be worn and are available to hire £2.50 each.
Wetsuits are not required for Pedalos.
Yes – buoyancy aids are provided on site and must be worn.
Towfloats must be worn while open water swimming.
We do allow trainer style shoes for our watersports however the aqua park is soft soled wet shoes/sock and are available to purchase from reception.
Yes - all jewellery must be removed before participating in any watersport. This includes removable earrings. If you have recently had a piercing you will need to tape over them prior to taking part in an activity.
Yes – you can bring your own stand up paddle board or kayak. This includes inflatable kayaks and SUP’s, sailing dinghies and windsurf equipment however powered craft are not permitted.

No – this is not required for any of our watersports.
If it's raining, our watersport activities will still take place. On occasions when there are high winds, Pedalos will not be available for use and other watersport sessions may be paused or cancelled when there is extreme weather. If you have booked in advance, we will contact you and offer you a full refund.
If North Yorkshire Water Park cancel your booking for any reason you will be entitled to a full refund. If you cancel your session more than 48 hours beforehand, we will offer you a credit to book on another date or refund 50% of your booking price. If you cancel your booking within 48 hours of your session there will be no refund.
The AquaPark is closed at present due Government Guidelines with plans to reopen in May 2021.
