The 2018 Dragon Boat Race

We were delighted to hold the seventh annual Dragon Boat Race here at North Yorkshire Water Park on Saturday 10th June. The day was a huge success and we raised lots of money for local charities!
A total of 21 teams took part this year, so the competition was certainly tough! With so many spectators cheering the teams on, it really helped motivate those taking part in the race, and created a great atmosphere for all.
Many local organisations sponsored the race, with some putting forward their own team. The St Helens in the Park team, who only debuted in the race last year, were thrilled to bring home a bronze medal! The team is already looking forward to next year, and hope to continue their success by bringing home another medal.
It was lovely to see so many smiling faces. Thank you to all who came and made the event such a great day!
